The North West's Got Manufacturing Talent

A series of free events is being held throughout the North West to unlock the “talent” in the region’s manufacturing sector.

But everyone who attends the manufacturers’ networking breakfasts will be a winner, as they will receive vital information about improving productivity, reducing waste and adding more to their bottom line.

The Manufacturing Institute and Business Link Northwest have joined forces to give manufacturers an opportunity to access key business support at breakfast events to be held:

The Manufacturing Institute – which delivers BERR’s Manufacturing Advisory Service in the North West – will give delegates a chance to “judge for themselves” how lean manufacturing can revitalise their business processes.

A local business will give a presentation to share its experience of improving manufacturing operations and gaining profitable growth.

Business Link Northwest, which offers impartial, free-to-use business support and information, will outline the support it provides for manufacturing businesses across the region.

The free breakfast networking events are open to any manufacturing company in the North West. Places can be booked by calling 0800 458 9585 or emailing events@manufacturinginstitute.co.uk

24:7 2008

24:7 Theatre Festival Returns

We present our fifth edition of 24:7, Manchester’s annual feast of new writing for theatre!

Our 16 plays bring you 16 writers, 16 directors, 65 actors and 35 crew members. That’s 132 people for starters! Adding on the festival team and volunteer staff, we are proud to announce that more than 200 24:7ers are working together to bring this festival to you.

As ever, all the performances will take place in non-theatre venues in Manchester city centre, including the landmark Midland Hotel, Pure in The Printworks and music store Zavvi in the Arndale. And with tickets at no more than £6, your only problem is whether you can get hold of any!

More than 11,000 audience members have enjoyed 24:7 performances so far. And this year, with your help, we hope to increase that number by at least 5,000.

24:7 is Manchester at its best – innovating, developing and presenting an original and modern way to look at theatre.

And in partnership with you, it’s the perfect combination!

For full details on all the shows and how to book tickets click on http://www.247theatrefestival.co.uk.

Networking4Business

Networking4Business Launches In Liverpool

Networking4Business are launching their Simply Networking events in Liverpool on Wednesday 23rd July 2008. The launch event, from 3pm to 5pm is completely free of charge. The venue will be announced shortly.

Simply Networking has developed an enthusiastic following in both Manchester and Leeds since being launched five years ago.  In that time over 10,000 delegates have attended the events and many millions of pounds worth of business has been done.

The events are what it says on the tin, a chance to simply network, to meet many other businesses, in a relaxed, fun, yet business environment. They provide a fantastic opportunity to gain new business.

There are NO membership fees or commitments and very little structure to the events so you can network unrestricted, informally and at your own pace. In the space of 2 hours you can walk away with lots of new business contacts. There is no pressure to give referrals or to public speak.

More information on our events can be found at www.networking4business.com
